For people who are selling in the UK how much are your prep fees per item including all expenses (boxes and transportation between prep center to Amazon)?

Hello,

I understand that if somebody is selling mostly Small & Light products those total fees would be less, and for the people selling more bulky will be more, but I’m wondering some estimated total fee per item.

On average, standard prep fees range from £0.70 to £2.00 per unit, including labeling and polybagging. For small and light items, costs can be lower, around £0.50 to £1.00 per unit, while bulky or hazmat products may cost £2.50 or more per unit due to extra handling and storage. Some prep centers charge additional fees for boxes and shipping to Amazon, typically £5 to £15 per shipment or more, depending on volume. To get the best rates, consider bulk discounts and compare multiple prep services based on your product type and volume.

It’s incredibly variable if you’re prepping yourself - if a small, light product only needs labelling then you will get several hundred in a box, so prep cost (excluding your time) might be 1-2p if you reuse a box other items were delivered in - but if you’re shipping large/heavy hazmat products that need bubble wrapping then the cost will be much, much higher.
