Fix stranded inventory issue

I sell most of my product in the UK via FBA. I also have the product listed in the French Amazon site, but it is not stored there, just shipped from the UK.

What concerns me is that I get a message saying that I have a stranded SKU scheduled for automatic removal. They will destroy the product if i don’t get it fixed. But my product is stored in the UK selling to UK customers.

Why are they saying my stock will be destroyed? I am very concerned about this.

This usually happens because Amazon France is treating the listing as if it should have local FBA inventory in France, even though you are only fulfilling from the UK, and the system flags it as stranded on the FR marketplace side rather than at the physical inventory level.

Your UK stock is not actually at risk of being destroyed, but the French listing is likely misconfigured, often due to being set as FBA instead of remote fulfillment or because Pan-EU or EFN settings are incomplete after Brexit.

Amazon’s automated messages are poorly worded and often imply physical destruction even when no inventory exists in that country. To resolve it, you need to check that the French offer is correctly linked to UK inventory under EFN, confirm there is no phantom inbound or stranded quantity showing for France, and if necessary convert or temporarily close the FR FBA offer so the system stops expecting local stock.

As alarming as the message sounds, destruction only applies to inventory physically located in that marketplace, so your UK FBA stock will not be destroyed because of a French listing issue.
