Announcement reposted from Amazon:
To create more room for products in our fulfilment centres as we approach the holiday season, starting September 15, 2023, we may remove some of your aging inventory unless you’ve opted out.
Aging inventory refers to units that have been in an Amazon fulfilment centre for more than 365 days. Automated removal of aging inventory can help you save on aged inventory surcharges and improve your Inventory Performance Index score.
To have your aging inventory returned to you, go to Automated fulfillable inventory settings and select “Return” to provide a valid return address. If you don’t provide a valid return address, your inventory will be automatically recycled, donated or removed.
To opt out of automated removal, select “Disabled” instead.
Please note that automated removals can’t be cancelled once they’re created because they are considered to be required removals.
If you have aged inventory and haven’t updated your removal settings, you’ll be notified via email and in Seller Central of upcoming automatic removals.
To update your settings, go to Automated Fulfillable Inventory settings.
To view your aging inventory, go to Manage Inventory Health.
