FBA Returns after 8 months

Hi, I have just received a notification of a return authorisation for an item I sold 8 months ago via FBA, surely this is not right and out of the amazon 30 day return window? Item not working, any help much appreciated

It doesn’t happen often, but for whatever reason, Amazon made the decision to refund the customer.

You say it’s not working. Did you remove it from FBA, or is that the excuse the customer gave?

Unauthorized purchase is the reason. I now opened a case with Amazon asking for explanation. Will keep you posted.
