Experience selling on Walmart using WFS instead of Merchant Fulfillment by Walmart and FBA by Amazon

Based on my experience with Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) compared to Walmart’s Merchant Fulfillment and Amazon’s FBA, WFS offers greater profitability for several reasons. For instance, if your warehouse is located in New York and you get an order from California, FedEx is their cost-effective partner, but you’ll be charged accordingly. With WFS, my average fulfillment fee per product is around $4.50, with a referral fee of 11.25%. In contrast, the same product on Amazon incurs a fulfillment fee of $7 or even $8.

Another example is in bundled products—WFS charges $10.28, while Amazon’s fee is $14.28. To sum up, selling on Walmart can be up to 30% more profitable than on Amazon. However, Walmart doesn’t have the same volume of sales. In my experience, for every 15 units I sell on Amazon, I manage to sell 1-2 on Walmart. It’s worth noting that I don’t use any software for this. I just ship to Walmart whatever I’ve purchased on Amazon, packaging a few cases together in a mixed pallet.

If you have a Beauty product or maybe even in other Categories and you want to ship with WFS, I believe they require a Safety Data Sheet. Where do you get the Safety Data Sheet if you don’t have a direct relationship with the brand?

I’m doing seller fulfilled on Walmart and it’s great.

You can save more with WFS in the Fulfillment fee.

It used to happen to me in the beginning when uploading products, but I found a way to upload products without the SDS. I never create new listings, I just jump into existing ones (grocery).

I believe when doing WFS, even when you’re jumping on other listings, they require a Safety Data Sheet for Beauty, correct?

I do grocery but I will let you know I have a shipment next week I will check.
