I have a product in the USA that I purchased from the manufacturer’s location. To save money, I had Amazon handle the prep and asked the manufacturer to apply the labels. However, Amazon delayed the delivery to the warehouse by three months. Now, Amazon is selling the product and has charged me additional fees, including for poly bags. Interestingly, after the pickup from the manufacturer’s location, Amazon started selling the product.
I doubt it. Amazon sell literally thousands if not millions of different SKUs so for them to worry about the odd SKU that they want to add their catalogue is unlikely. But who knows.

Happens every day. Get used to it.
Your first mistake was not using a 3rd party prep center. You can’t trust Amazon with prepping your inventory.
This is the first time in 7 years that I’m using Amazon prep services from the manufacturer to Amazon.
