Does my name on utility bills have to match my company details?

Hey !

I have registered a cooperation in Canada and I will be applying for a seller account in Canada. My cooperation address is my residential address but the name on the utility bills is not same as company.

Can I submit the documents?

I think that would be OK. Try and find a bill/invoice with name which reads is actually same as your application.

Hi, unfortunately I don’t have any utility bills with the company name. All utility bills are under my partner’s name. Do you think I can use a bank or debit card statement for verification purposes?

Should be OK

  • Do you have a cell bill in your name?

Yes, in my name.

Would this suffice in case of a verification, even though the Seller Central details would now state the name of my company instead?

Great.

Your cell bill together with your partners bill should tie up to suit amazon requirements.

  • If a utility bill for the given address is not under your name, provide a utility bill associated to the address used to register, and any other supporting documents that prove you are operating from that address, even if the bill is not under your name.
  • must be issued within the last 180 days

Good Luck
