Does anyone know if I can adjust ad fees on Amazon?

Good evening, everyone.

I’m having a problem with FBA fees, specifically advertising fees. Is there a way to adjust them? It seems like Amazon keeps increasing their fees more and more. On eBay, you can adjust your ad fees, does anyone else have this issue?

Have a good night!

You can adjust FBA fees by making your product smaller or lighter so that it goes into a lower tier.

With advertising, you are in control of the costs. Surely you looked at that when you started advertising? Go the advertising console and amend your costs there. I’m not saying that it is easy but all the tools are there.

You can control your ads spend. It’s up to you how much budget you will allocate to PPC. Amazon doesnt charge fees on PPC. You just spend the budget which you can control and adjust.

FBA fees are set by Amazon and cannot be manually adjusted. They are determined based on the product’s category, weight, and dimensions.

However, advertising fees can be controlled manually. You can lower your campaign budget to reduce ad costs. Additionally, if you want more control over which keywords your ads appear for, you can target specific keywords and use negative keywords to block irrelevant or low-performing searches. This helps improve ad visibility while managing costs effectively.

Unlike eBay, where you can set a percentage for promoted listings, Amazon’s advertising fees are based on your bid strategy and competition. While you can’t directly lower Amazon’s ad fees, you can optimize your PPC campaigns by adjusting bids, targeting more relevant keywords, using negative keywords to eliminate wasteful spending, and testing different match types. You can also explore lower-cost placements, such as product targeting ads or sponsored display. Amazon does increase FBA and ad costs over time, so keeping a close eye on your ACoS and adjusting accordingly is key.

To lower your campaign budget in Amazon Seller Central, go to Advertising > Campaign Manager , then find the specific campaign where you want to reduce the budget. Click on the campaign name to open its settings, then look for the Daily Budget field and enter a lower amount. If you want to adjust spending within the campaign, navigate to the Ad Groups or Targeting section, where you can lower bids on specific keywords, products, or audiences. You can also go to Placements within the campaign settings to reduce bid adjustments for “Top of Search” and “Product Pages” if they are too costly. For automatic campaigns, go to the Bidding Strategy section and select “Dynamic bids - down only” to prevent Amazon from increasing your bid unnecessarily.
