New one from the last debacle. Since last week, everytime I disburse, I’m prompted to log in again and go through 2fa again. Is everyone else finding the same? I have remember me, this browser etc. I realise 2fa is very useful but surely not necessary every time I simply want to disburse?
If that was all the site issues we have to worry about, I’m ok with it. Once a day is not the worst.
Yes, this seems to be a recent change affecting many sellers. Amazon appears to have implemented stricter security measures for disbursements, likely as an added layer of protection for financial transactions. Even with “remember me” enabled, the system may still require 2FA for certain actions like disbursements to ensure account security. While it can be inconvenient, this extra step is designed to prevent unauthorized access and protect your funds.
I don’t see a problem. I deal it with all the time with banks and credit cards. Every login. I don’t mind. Added security is great. Why should Amazon be any different when it comes to dispersing our money?
I am asked to go through OTP every day. Does anyone stay logged in for longer than this?
I don’t keen a count of how often but probably around a week to 2 weeks. I access seller central from a PC, phone and ipad and it varies from device to device.
For me, it won’t let me stay logged in the Seller Central on any Amazon marketplace for more than a hour, some time even less. Everytime I close the browser, I am asked for an OTP.
There is one of the two initial log-in pages that has a ‘keep me logged in’ button which when ticked works to cure that. Unfortunately I never remember where it is and when that happens (eg clearing cache) I have to search for it again!
I would rather get logged out frequently than have this happen to me:
Totally agree, just seems like overkill that to simply check whether we can disburse yet (we do it every 24 hours but often forget exactly what time we did it the previous days! ha) requires us to re-authenticate. I can understand clicking disburse button requiring it as that’s a transaction taking place. But solely visiting the page isn’t. Good old Amazon.
