CPC Much higher than Estimated bid

Hey guys

Please see the attached file.

On a product of ours that running on a sponsored campaign the estimated cost per click on first page is £0.38. How ever, we’ve had 7 clicks and the average CPC is £0.74.

We are experiencing must higher CPCs on all our campaigns for all keywords.

Do you guys experience the same thing, drastically higher CPCs than what amazons estimates are?

Seems there Estimate is always WAY off and in this particular case more than double.

Theres the option to “Match Bid” but its completely pointless doing this as you would NEVER get any product exposure…

Having a tough tough time with this sponsored adds lack.

Any information would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Hey there!

I totally understand your frustration with the CPCs on your sponsored campaigns. It’s not uncommon to experience higher CPCs than what Amazon initially estimates. I’ve personally encountered similar situations where the actual CPCs were significantly higher than the estimates provided.

One thing to keep in mind is that Amazon’s estimates are based on various factors, including competition, bid amounts from other sellers, and the relevance of your keywords. These estimates serve as a general guideline, but the actual performance can vary.

In my experience, it’s essential to continuously monitor and optimize your campaigns to ensure you’re getting the most out of your advertising budget.
