Last week I received an email asking for help with a non-book listing. I had just sent 1 unit of the product in, so the person didn’t buy from me but I got the question. In fact the box I sent the one item in has yet to be received.
I just received an email about the product being counterfeit. Amazon doesn’t even have my product yet. It was my first attempt at retail arbitrage.
Should I share my experience with Amazon, that the listing was not mine? That they have yet to receive my product? Arghhhh
About all you can do with that is flip a coin.
Seems like an activist is trying scam you for free stuff. Those bullies know all tricks and saying it is fake is guaranteed to get a seller shut down. They are hoping your knees are buckling under the pressure and say okay here is a full refund…
Myself, I would just leave it alone and see what actually happens with amazon.
Keep in mind when bad actors do stuff like that you can sue the people that got you shut down. This is assuming you are 100% on solid ground with the authenticity of the item.
If you are doing retail arbitrage, all you can do is let the activist/online bully rip you off. Sorry, everyone selling on amazon is dealing with that BS every day, its just part of the amazon sphere.
Explain that the listing in question was not yours, and you haven’t even shipped your product to Amazon yet. They should be able to assist you in resolving this issue and potentially remove the counterfeit claim associated with your account. It’s important to maintain clear communication with Amazon to protect your seller reputation.
I think you are right, they never ordered anything from me. I am a new seller with no reviews so it seems like they assumed I am a newbie who will be easy to take advantage of
