I have two people who have stolen my pictures on Amazon and are listing the item as their own and cheaper than mine. I have figured out how to report it but I keep getting emails that asks me to resubmit my request but everytime I do it gives me a new verification code and asks me to submit it again.
Is this something I can call them and work out? I’m not sure what to do next. Also is this normal? I don’t have time to police this kind of thing all the time so I’m wondering
You can try reaching out to Amazon’s support for assistance with your stolen pictures. Keep documenting the incidents and providing all the necessary information to help them take action.
It is highly unlikely that Amazon will do anything unless they are contacted by legal means, eg by a solicitor or lawyer. Even then they might still do nothing.
They really don’t like deciding on IP issues as these are difficult to prove and they prefer to wash their hands of these matters.
I’ve had similar but have never been able to achieve anything. Not worth (in my case) getting a lawyer involved.
We don’t sell enough on ebay or amazon to care anymore. The problem you run into is collecting the settlement. The last one we had that was a slam dunk and the seller had nothing to attach. My attorney clearly told me, “you are responsible for paying me even if we cannot collect the judgement.”. The ones you are up against are either from outside the USA or don’t have a pot to piss in.
I believe there is a form somewhere, where you can submit a copyright infringement report even without Amazon Brand Registry, however I am not sure about the prospects of this resulting in a desired action.
I wondered if you had a trademark or license on that products? If not, maybe people can resell??? I am not sure but maybe that’s the reason, you need to find the reason by reviewing business laws.
