Claiming back import VAT - Germany/Amazon VAT services

Hi

I a considering selling in Germany and to do this I’d also be signing up for amazon VAT services.

As well as my transaction-level vat calculations etc, does Amazon VAT services have an option for me to claim back German import VAT?

You can’t send FBA stock to Germany unless you have fiscal representation in Germany, as in boots on the ground.

It’s much easier to send to France where no representation is required. Have you checked through this forum? There are lots of posts about it giving great advice. France also doesn’t charge you import VAT so there is none to reclaim.
