Changing the size of a book without resetting the reviews

Is there a way to change the size of a book that is being sold on Amazon (essentially smaller page size but more pages) without resetting the reviews? It’s the same content just a smaller sized book.

Changing the trim size counts as a new edition and, by ISBN rules, should get a new ISBN, which creates a new ASIN. Reviews don’t automatically move, but Amazon can often link editions so that reviews display across formats and versions.

The clean approach is to publish the smaller-size book as a new paperback with a new ISBN and leave the old one live. Once the new version is live, contact KDP Support or Author Central and ask them to link the two paperback editions, noting that the content is the same and only the trim size changed. Make sure the title, author name, subtitle, and description match exactly between editions to improve the chance of a successful review merge.

If you try to change the trim size on the existing listing, you risk metadata conflicts, print file issues, and customer confusion, and you may still lose reviews if Amazon treats it as a materially different product. After linking, set the new edition as the primary version and update your detail page and A+ content to make the transition clear to buyers.
