Certified bank letter

Hi,

Amazon is asking for a certified bank letter for KYC verification, but Lloyds refused to provide one.

They said they can only issue an attested bank statement.

How can I get the required letter, and what does it look like?

If anyone has a sample, please share it so I can show the bank.

Thanks.

This should be it.

Have the same question. Does anyone have a template for certified bank letter?

Lloyds refusing to issue a “certified bank letter” is completely normal because most UK banks no longer provide custom letters, and Amazon’s request is often worded in a way that confuses sellers into thinking they need a special document when, in practice, a stamped and signed bank statement is usually what ends up being accepted. Amazon asks for a “bank letter” only to verify two things: your name (or company name) and the account details, and an attested or certified statement from Lloyds serves the exact same purpose even though Amazon’s wording makes it sound like a different document.

What most sellers do is go into a Lloyds branch and request a printed statement with an official bank stamp and staff signature on each page, and then upload that as the “bank letter” because Lloyds won’t generate anything else. If Amazon rejects it, you can reply within the same case explaining that Lloyds does not issue custom letters and that the attached stamped statement is the bank’s official form of certification. Plenty of sellers have passed verification with this method.

A typical “bank letter” Amazon accepts includes: account holder name matching your Amazon entity, full account number and sort code, bank name and logo, and a recent date of issue. A stamped statement shows all of this, which is why it works as a substitute.

If you want to reassure Amazon further, you can add a short cover page saying: “This is the official certified document provided by Lloyds Bank for account verification purposes; Lloyds does not issue alternative letters.” This normally helps push it through.
