Hi,
I just started doing FBM and I have a lot of boxes from distributors, but they have writing on them, like Wella, mosquito repellent, etc.
Has anyone else shipped like this before?

Yes, you can reuse boxes. But I would stay away from anything that could raise concerns such as poisons (for example, the mosquito repellent) or very smelly (bad smell or even good) or any boxes that are dirty inside or outside.
Thank you
Yes, obviously. I was just thinking the boxes need to be plain.
Yes you can ship in those boxes. You will not get the complaints as long they are getting their ordered products safely.
You can technically reuse distributor boxes for FBM, but it’s risky because branded or product-specific printing (like Wella or “mosquito repellent”) can confuse buyers and drive “wrong item” or “used/misrepresented” complaints.
Remove or fully cover all old barcodes, shipping labels, and any hazardous goods markings; carriers can refuse or surcharge boxes that still show hazmat symbols, and Amazon customers may panic if the carton suggests chemicals. If you must reuse, turn the box inside out or wrap it in kraft paper, tape seams well, and include only a neutral packing slip—never other retailers’ invoices or marketing. For best customer experience and fewer A-to-Z headaches, switch to plain cartons or poly mailers sized to the item so you avoid dimensional weight surprises and reduce complaint risk.
