Can anyone help me understand the FBA fee?

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone can help me understand this.

I currently only sell one product on Amazon, and I’ve noticed something confusing with the fees. Sometimes Amazon charges me both the referral fee and the FBA fulfillment fee, but other times I’m only charged the FBA fulfillment fee and there’s no referral fee at all.

Since it’s the same product every time, I honestly can’t predict why this happens.

New sellers receive New Seller Incentives, which they accumulate as they make sales. Amazon uses these funds to cover referral fees, so you’re not charged out of pocket. You can view them by typing “New Seller Incentives” in the search bar and opening the New Seller Incentives dashboard.
