Can anyone guide me or help me understand what I can do to reopen the account?

Hi seniors,

I need some guidance. My Amazon account got deactivated due to being linked with another account, which was not mine but belonged to my brother’s friend. He used his payment card as the charge method, and unfortunately I also used it during the initial setup. Later, I forgot to remove it.

Or is this a lost case now?

Hello, this is not necessarily a lost case, but linked account suspensions are taken very seriously by Amazon, especially when the connection involves payment methods, because shared cards are one of the strongest signals Amazon uses to link accounts together. The fact that you used the same payment card during setup likely caused the automated system to associate your account with the other account, even if you later removed it.

Your best chance is usually to be fully transparent in the appeal rather than trying to deny the connection completely, because Amazon already sees the linkage internally. You should clearly explain that the card belonged to your brother’s friend, that it was only used temporarily during setup, that you later forgot to remove it, and that there was no intention to operate multiple related accounts improperly. It also helps if the other account is in good standing, because linked account suspensions become much harder when the connected account has policy violations or is suspended.

Most importantly, you should now remove any shared elements between the accounts completely, including payment cards, bank accounts, addresses, devices, Wi-Fi networks, or identity documents, and ensure your account only uses information belonging directly to you or your business. In many cases, sellers are reinstated after submitting a clear explanation together with proof that the accounts are independently operated and no longer share any account-level connections.

You should submit an appeal, which states your exact issue clearly, As Amazon has marked your account at their back end, Try to be transparent, be clear it was your mistake but you were not intended to violate any Amazon Policy. But in future you will be more careful to comply with Amazon Policies
