I’m the only seller left on a listing. I just sent a box off yesterday, but my item is already live.
What happens if someone orders the product when it won’t reach the Amazon warehouse for another week or so?

Amazon sometime does this. There is a name for it but I can’t remember.
Not your concern.
This is called “in-stock head start” I believe. Amazon will assign a small quantity of “Future buyable inventory” as soon as you mark your FBA shipment as dispatched - meaning that customers will be able to place orders.
In case the shipment is delayed for any reason, then Amazon won’t cancel the orders, they will just keep extending the estimated delivery period and the customers may be able to cancel at any point.
If the only seller is out of stock, Amazon might place orders on hold until the item arrives. Customers may cancel if they’re not willing to wait.
If someone orders your product while it’s in transit to the Amazon warehouse, the order will remain pending until the item is received and processed. Once it’s available in the warehouse, it will ship to the customer. You may want to adjust your listing’s availability or lead time to manage expectations.
I never signed up for this. Is there a charge?
No.
