To calculate and pay sales tax for FBA using Form DR-15 (Florida Sales and Use Tax Return):
-
Determine Taxable Sales – Identify total sales made to Florida customers.
-
Check the Sales Tax Rate – Florida’s base rate is 6%, plus county surtax (0.5%–2.5%).
-
Calculate Sales Tax Owed – Multiply total taxable sales by the applicable tax rate.
Example: If you sold $10,000 in a county with a 7% tax rate (6% state + 1% county surtax), the sales tax owed is:
$10,000 × 7% = $700.
-
Complete Form DR-15 – Report total sales, taxable sales, and tax collected.
-
Submit & Pay – File online via the Florida Department of Revenue or by mail.
