Buyer Account Closed - Cannot Access Seller Account

Hi Guys,

Currently have an Amazon Seller Account in the USA registered with my US company details on the primary email address.

Around two weeks ago, my Amazon Business Business Account that was created on the primary email address was closed as apparently Amazon linked it to my other Amazon Business Buying accounts that I attempted to open with my company details but different email addresses. I was never successful in my attempts therefore tried to open with the same email attached to my Seller Central account and was successful. Unfortunately, this didn’t last long and after a couple of orders my account was closed due to violation of Amazon terms of business (no other reasons provided) and many appeals sent but still no success.

Following on from above, I was left with a Personal Consumer Buying Account also associated to my Primary email used to register my Seller Central account with was also closed and after providing all the verification details for payments, never materialised into anything.

Now, although my Seller Account is still active, I am unable to log in to my account using the Primary email address due to my buyer account having been closed. Amazon are unable to help after multiple attempts.

I am now stuck with no access and a live seller account but as you might be aware, without access to a buyer account I cannot access my seller account.

Please note that I have not done anything BUT make purchases from these Buyer Accounts to resell on Amazon for A2A Flips. None of these products have actually been sold, they are waiting at my Prep Centre.

I have not used any Gift Cards or left negative reviews.

I have used my Virtual Mercury Cards and have bank statements to prove purchases.

I have also attached a screenshot when trying to log into my Seller Account that suggests ‘My billing needs to be verified’ and another screenshot from trying to login into Amazon.com (Buyer side) that suggests my ‘Account has been closed’.

@Kika Can you share your thoughts? or is this something you could perhaps help me with. Thanks.

It sounds like your situation is caught in a complicated loop due to Amazon’s internal linking of buyer and seller accounts, which they monitor very strictly. Since your seller account is still active but you’ve lost access due to the closure of the buyer account tied to the same primary email, your goal now should be to regain access either by recovering the login credentials or transferring the seller account to a new, clean email. Here’s how you should structure your next steps:

  1. Open a case with Seller Support through a colleague’s or VA’s account if you have team access, or use the Helpsection on Seller Central’s public page and request a callback explaining you cannot log in due to a closed buyer account.
  2. Clearly state in your message that you have a fully compliant, active seller account, but Amazon’s system is preventing login because it’s linked to a buyer account that was mistakenly shut down. Emphasize that this is blocking your business operations, even though your seller metrics are clean and the account is in good standing.
  3. Request either a manual override for login access or a way to change the primary email address on the seller account to a new one that is not associated with any closed buyer accounts.
  4. Mention your willingness to provide purchase proofs, card statements, and verification details, and keep your tone factual, respectful, and focused on resolution.

If appeals and cases go unanswered or unresolved, you might consider escalating to Amazon’s Executive Seller Relations or use a professional appeals service like Riverbend or Jeff Schick’s team, as they have direct internal contact points and know how to structure these complex appeals properly.

In the meantime, do not attempt to create any new seller or buyer accounts under the same entity or IP, as this could trigger further suspensions.

I appreciate your concise and to the point advice. Will take everything you’ve mentioned onboard and try to move forwards.

Thank you Umair :pray:t3:

Your situation is unfortunately one that has affected quite a few Amazon sellers who linked buyer and seller activity under the same email address. When Amazon closes a buyer account, especially for suspected abuse, duplicate creation, or policy violation, it can sometimes lock you out of the connected seller account, even if the seller account is in good standing.

What makes it worse is that Amazon’s systems treat the buyer account as the “core identity,” and once it’s blacklisted, your access across all services under that email can be affected.

Work on fixing the buyer account.

You are welcome, feel free to share any updates.

Hey, Whilst I appreciate the problem you’ve described, I was fully aware of this, I was instead looking for a fix and advice on how to resolve rather that an explanation around linked accounts

I think that you just need to verify the linked card ownership. They will want some utility bills for the charge method on file. Do you have any communications regarding that?

Don’t you have any secondary user with access to that account?

Buyer account closures are very serious. Amazon does this after detecting serious violations on the buyer side, which affect the seller account as well.

In many of the cases, which I have seen before, it was due to a seller buying from a direct competitor and leaving him a negative feedback, opening A-Z claims or damaging his account in other ways, such as by triggering customer complaints (counterfeit, used sold as new, etc…).

But shipping to a prep centre is something that is not allowed either. You need to ship to an address matching your billing address, unless you are occasionally shipping a gift.

When you shipped to a prep-centre, I am assuming the quantity of goods purchased was significant.

No, you are not allowed to make large purchases from Amazon and ship to prep-centres for resale. They are often selling at a loss to secure the best prices for Amazon customers and they don’t want someone to buy out the stock for resale.

@Kika I don’t have a secondary user set up unfortunately and I haven’t left any negative feedback or tried to damage another sellers reputation.

I’ve just bought goods in bulk, that’s all.

Unsure what to do at this stage or who to write to explain my case and regain access to my account.

Customer service have exhausted all their options over the phone when it comes to escalating to Account specialists and now I’m just getting a standard email from [email protected] suggesting my account has been closed permanently.

Is the only way to resolve this now is to speak to someone who has legal connections into Amazon.com or a law firm?

I tried to provide all the info multiple times but they rejected it.
