Busy for business at chrIstmas?

We have traditionally sold consumer items and obviously sales increase substantially during the festive period.

As we now sell mainly business office products just wondering if there is usually any uptick at chrustmas for these type of products? Logic says no as businesses don’t by more just as Christmas but thought I’d ask anyway!

All depends on what you sell. With office products, I doubt it would lead to uptick in sales before Christmas. But you can see them before the start of school term.

While business office products don’t typically see the same holiday-driven sales spikes as consumer items, there can still be a modest increase in demand around the end of the year. Some businesses may stock up on supplies to close out budgets, or prepare for new year projects, which could result in higher orders. Additionally, companies purchasing gifts or office-related items for employee appreciation or year-end functions might slightly boost sales. However, the increase is generally less pronounced than with consumer products.

Personally, I would not fixate on Christmas being connected with high sales. Try to find opportunities all year round.

I am selling collectibles and movie inspired jewelry. I used to look forward to Christmas the whole year in anticipation of the highest sales of the year. But this time, I experienced a massive sales surge before Halloween, as apparently, people bought my items to use them as a part of their costume. So, you never know.

There will be a Black Friday soon as well.

Totally tru and I agree. I was asking also as wondering if I’d need to prepare with extra stock

It may be the case if they are used by businesses to process e-commerce orders. Who knows.

I agreed too with you.

I only sell books, mostly used books. In this category, I rarely see sales spikes at Holiday time. I have been selling on Amazon for over 21 years, yes that makes me old, I can only think of two times. I sold books on Black Friday weekend and only a few times selling anything in December. Book sales seem to dry up until after Christmas. Just my experience.
