Beginner questions about FBA and FBM

Hi Everyone

Question from a newbie, trying to get some clarity around FBM and FBA.

  • Anyone here within Canada or US self shipping arbitrage products? If yes what couriers do you guys think are great for sending products ourselves?

  • Is there any other tool like AMZN seller app that can be used to scan and identify if the arbitrage by FBA is a good deal or not?

Thank you for your help in advance.

We’re in the USA and use Amazon Buy Shipping to send just about everything via the US Postal Service. They have a new offer called Ground Advantage which allows us to send heavier packages without paying Priority Mail rates.

Is there any other tool like AMZN seller app that can be used to scan and identify if the arbitrage by FBA is a good deal or not?

I hope so. You cannot trust the Amazon Seller App when making Arbitrage buying decisions. Those should be done using a Desktop or a Laptop. The Amazon Seller App is not a fully functioning Seller Central, and is glitchy

It does not matter what tool you use, keep in mind how 100’s of thousands are using the same tool. All of you will get the same results.

Just pick as many of the prime listings as you can, if you don’t you will get stuck paying for return shipping. Keep in mind the millions of sellers are doing the exact same thing. Your only hope is to operate lean and be able to make up stories and lies on demand in order to avoid fallout from the buyers.

The leading fallback excuse is “I ran out of stock and had to drop ship it from my prime account so you would not be disappointed.”

See where this is going, if you can live with yourself deceiving others when conducting business you will do well.

Jungle Scout and Keepa are handy tools for finding tips and scanning products, but there are options out there. Helium 10 for research and optimization. If you’re all about product insights, you can try AMZScout. There are mobile apps like Scoutify by InventoryLab for quick scanning. CamelCamelCamel’s for pricing history. Profit Bandit’s for profit calculations.
