Asking about Jungle Scout

Good morning everyone,

When an Amazon wholesale seller researches products using Jungle Scout, and chooses to put min 300 in Qty sales Per Month field, does that mean:-

  1. If there are 3 sellers under that product listing, each seller is selling min 300? or all 3 sellers combined are sell min 300?

  2. The 300 units sold during the last month? last hour? Or ?

Thank you

Good questions — here’s how it works:

  1. The “Sales” number Jungle Scout shows is for the TOTAL listing (the ASIN/product page) not per seller. So if 3 sellers are on the same listing (buy box sharing), that 300+ figure represents combined sales across all of them, not 300 each. Important distinction for wholesale especially, since you’re often competing for buy box share on that same number.

  2. It’s an estimate of monthly sales typically a rolling 30-day estimate based on sales rank and category data, not last hour or lifetime. It updates regularly but it’s always an estimate, not exact Amazon data (Amazon doesn’t publicly share real sales numbers).

For wholesale specifically, I’d also check the “Sellers” count on that listing if there are already 5+ sellers competing for that 300/month, your realistic share could be much smaller depending on your pricing and buy box win rate.
