What is your experience and what are the benefits?
Veeqo runs you through a “demo” process where they actually charge you for shipping on the demo orders.
Customer support is terrible.
I was told I would not be charged. Documentation says I will not be charged. Then they charge you.
We also do only FBM. We have noticed shipping rates gone up the last month. In regards to the UPS discount, we used to get a 50-75% discount, now it’s barely 25%. Not sure if you have noticed this too.
Anyway, my question is how do you get a cheaper rate directly from UPS? We have an account with them and the rates for us are much higher than the ones in Buy Shipping.
If you would ship more than $4,000 a year through the UPS account, you can get an account representative. The rep should be able to help you get Commercial Rate, which is equivalent to the normal Amazon Buy Shipping rate (not including the occasional extra discount I mentioned).
Because I built up a good relationship with the rep, he got me onto a new test program rate with lower rates in certain situations. The rate is on a separate UPS account, and is the one I have connected to Veeqo.
I believe an account rep from UPS contacted us months ago but admitted he would not be able to get us a better discount than the one Amazon already gives on UPS shipping through Buy Shipping. Did someone reach out to you or vice versa? Thank you!
I can’t remember the exact details, but I think I contacted UPS customer service about a claim. An account manager called me back and during the conversation the topic of being assigned to me came up.
I would contact UPS customer service and say “My account # is ______. I would like an account manager.” Even if the rate the account manager can get you is no better than what you get through Buy Shipping, by buying the shipping through your own account, and not Amazon’s, you establish a track record for better discounts later on.
- Use Veeqo or some other shipping software that lets you connect your own carrier accounts
- Connect your UPS account with commercial rate to Veeqo (not Buy Shipping)
- For each FBM order, see if you get the random Amazon discount (red font) for UPS through Buy Shipping. If yes, use Buy Shipping. If no, use Veeqo.
And of course, you can use Veeqo for non-Amazon orders. I would be surprised if whatever you sell can’t also be sold on eBay. Walmart Marketplace is tougher to get onto but also worthwhile.
