I have 20 products stranded in an Amazon warehouse. I think it’s because I tweaked my listing and I didn’t realise this may break the link.
Any tips for fixing?
Most are through but re the 20 stock units I have 60 days to fix! So far I have refreshed my listing and hoping by tomorrow that’ll resolve it.
But any other tips would be greatly appreciated
Hello, stranded inventory is one of those issues that is best dealt with quickly because the longer it sits, the greater the risk of storage fees, suppressed listings, or even automatic removal. The first step is to identify why the inventory is stranded, as the solution depends on the cause. Common reasons include a closed or deleted listing, pricing errors, missing product information, brand or category restrictions, compliance requests, or a listing that has been suppressed by Amazon. Once you identify the reason in the Stranded Inventory Report, you can usually relist the product, fix the listing issue, update the price, or provide the requested compliance documentation. If the ASIN can no longer be sold, then creating a removal order is often the best option rather than letting inventory sit indefinitely. In my experience, the sooner you address stranded inventory, the easier it is to recover sales and avoid unnecessary fees.
So the first thing I would do is identify the exact reason your inventory is stranded, because the solution depends entirely on the cause. In Seller Central, go to the “Fix Stranded Inventory” page and check the stranded reason for each SKU. Common causes include inactive or suppressed listings, pricing errors, missing product information, brand or category restrictions, compliance requests, or the inventory no longer being linked to an active offer.
If the issue is a listing error, you can often resolve it by relisting the product or correcting the missing information. If it is due to a pricing or compliance issue, fix that first and then allow Amazon time to reconnect the inventory. If the product can no longer be sold, it is usually better to create a removal order rather than continue paying storage fees.
If none of the suggested fixes work, open a focused case with Seller Support and include the ASIN, SKU, FNSKU, the stranded reason code, and screenshots. Keeping the case limited to the stranded inventory issue, rather than combining it with other problems, generally results in faster and more effective support. The key is to act quickly, as stranded inventory can continue to incur storage fees and, if left unresolved, may eventually be removed by Amazon.
