Anyone currently working in the UK, whether in wholesale or OA?

I’ve been working on Amazon UK since 2021, and I’ve only focused on Amazon wholesale. But after VAT, taxes, and Amazon service fees, there’s no margin left in the wholesale model anymore. So, what do you guys think? Is there still any profit in Amazon UK wholesale? Or should I switch to online arbitrage (OA) and skip wholesale?
Even if you’re a VA, please share your experience on what’s the best way forward.

PL has a lot of potential if you launch with the proper strategies, and I hope PL will never become saturated. If you need any help regarding the Amazon private label business, let me know. I will guide you step by step. I am already working on various private label projects that are generating very good revenue.

There is still a lot of profit in wholesale, but it depends on how you find products and the discounts your distributor offers. You should start with OA as well, but make sure your retailers and suppliers are authentic. Even now, many people in the UK are generating very good profits.

Negotiation is key in this business - in any business, really - you need to master it. I stopped spending time looking for different suppliers and focused on working with a handful of them to get a good cost of goods (COG) price. They need our business as much as we need theirs, so the only way to build a strong relationship with them is by consistently reordering. Eventually, once you’ve built a good relationship, you’ll have more leverage to negotiate a lower price. You should definitely do OA alongside wholesale. There are some healthy margins in OA; while it may not always be replenishable, you can find some real gems.

Bro, nothing to do with wholesale or OA. You are just souring products without much margin. Focus on finding better products.

You need to source the right products. There are thousands of people making a lot of money on Amazon UK (OA and WS), and they are all VAT-registered. So, you just need to focus on better sourcing.

UK wholesale is not a good choice, but don’t start with OA. Instead, PL is a better option. This is because they have high tax and it’s difficult to find profitable products.

Don’t start OA specially in Q4.

Absolutely! My point! I know I have worked days and nights and could only source 1 product/ day. This is how everyone started. But, I learned a lot during this process. There were times that I wanted to give up but I kept going. I am glad that I did!
