Hope you are all well. I have a brand which I have built on Amazon UK which has been doing very well in the last couple years. I have seen year on year growth and my listings have been performing great. I think its about time I tap into the US market with my products and I have created the listing for one. However, I am for some reason not winning the buy box even though
I am the only seller
I have a professional account
As a result, my listing is not being shown when I search for the relevant search terms to find my listings. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated (Seller support has been useless). I have also tried to run some PPC campaigns but have had no luck
The BuyBox algorithm depends on multiple factors, which Amazon doesn’t reveal and there is no guarantee you will have the BuyBox on any listing, even if you were the one who created it and there are no other sellers competing with you. The Seller Support will be unable to assist either.
A long Handling Time or failure to offer Premium/ Expedited or international shipping can affect the BuyBox. Also, the results displayed depend on your location and are different for every buyer.
If you are the only one selling this item, and you don’t get the Buy Box, I would assume the Buy Box is missing. If that’s the case, Amazon thinks your price is to high. Lowering it should bring the Buy Box back.
Not every listing is displayed to everyone that searches for. It might be because you are not located in a area that could supply the item within the time frame acceptable to them.
So, I might have no problem finding it. This happened to me. We did a little testing, and I couldn’t see it because there wasn’t a Fulfillment center close enough to deliver it.
I believe you are correct. But, that just never made any sense to me. Why PPC when you are already in the Buy Box? Isn’t that what’s driving the sales?
Some listings, especially private label are struggling to attract any sales without advertising. There are products that are new and require some initial traffic.
Customers need to find your listing before anything gets sold so having the buy box will only give you an advantage if someone has actually found your listing. Hence advertising, to drive the customers to a listing they would have otherwise not found or struggled to find amongst other items.
