Any success appealing Postage Differences?

Are there any FBM sellers out there who have had any success fighting the monthly additional carrier charges for “Postage Differences” that are being levied to our accounts?

I buy my shipping on Amazon, so they set the postage. Yet I am being charged additional fees for outbound shipping.

Here is an example of a difference:

Additional postage due: $2.39

MY INPUT DIMENSIONS:

14" L x 14" W x 6" H, 2.5 lbs

CARRIER AUDITED DIMENSIONS:

14" L x 6" W x 12" H, 2.5 lbs.

For this, I am being charged an additional $2.39.

I have hundreds of these, amounting to an additional $150 every month that I am being charged from wrong outbound shipping charges.

We do not lie or cheat on our weights or dimensions, and we add them to every single package.

Make sure you’ve got the correct dimensions and weights for your products. Use a reliable scale and measuring tools to nail those numbers down.

Listing your products with accurate package dimensions and weights is super important. If there’s a gap between what you give and what the carrier finds, you could end up with extra charges.

Its seems like they are giving out a penalty for being FBM.

They will do every sneaky scheme to funnel you into using FBA.

Who is actually collecting the “difference” is that for USPS or UPS. If you are 100% sure you are correct then bring this matter up with your State’s attorney general.

Layout the facts and be concise, don’t ramble and wander. Be exact and make sure your message to the AG can articulate what is going on.
