Any helpful tips for a FBA newbie?

Hello everyone !

My husband and I are getting starting with Amazon FBA. Learning the ins and outs. Got our account with seller amp sas. We’re looking on AliExpress for products.

But we’re thinking of starting off by going into stores and finding deals. Any helpful tips would be great!

Also am I the only one shocked how much shipping is on Ali?

Hey, you definitely can start with Retail Arbitrage, it’s gonna be most profitable business model and quickest.

First of all please watch some videos on the basics and then do product research because that is the most important part of the business

If you become good at it you will definitely get good results

This would be private label, not arbitrage. If you want to start private label model then these are steps.

1.Product research and validation

2.Patent research

3.Sourcing

4.Listing creation

5.Shipment plan creation

6.Inventory inspection

7.Images designing+content writing

8.Inventory shipment+Launching

9.PPC ads management

10.Sales and stock management

I recommend going to your local stores and start scanning for products to get an idea of how everything works. Buying from AliExpress should be done once you get an idea how everything works

When it comes to finding deals, visiting stores can be a great way to start. Look for clearance sections, sales, and discounted items. As for AliExpress, shipping costs can vary and it’s a business to consumer platform you should look upon B2B platform.

If you are doing private label, that’s when you try to find products at Ali express, if you are doing retail arbitrage, you are selling name brand products like adidas, converse, Lysol, Nutella, etc.

I assume you are doing some form of arbitrage? Just curious what motivated you to go down that route versus something like private label ?

Rather than PL, (private Label) which it sounds like you’re looking at, start an arbitrage business.

There’s not a much product research involved and much less risk.

Still researching. Want to just jump in but I don’t want to make too many mistakes at the start. I want to pull the trigger on an fba account and a product. I’m just not sure of the product research tools and resources and I’m not firmiliar with any of it
