Amazon won’t let me use FNSKU barcodes

When uploading my product (RA) it reads: “Manufacturer barcode required (no additional labeling required)”. However my product does not have a manufacturer barcode.

I wish I could put an Amazon barcode.

How can I do it?

By default, Amazon will use the manufacturer barcode to track eligible inventory throughout the fulfillment process, unless you change your barcode setting or your product is not eligible.

Changing your Amazon Seller Central account settings from ‘Manufacturer Barcodes’ to ‘Amazon Barcodes’

  1. Sign in to your Amazon Seller Central account.
  2. Go to ‘Settings’.
  3. Go to ‘Fulfillment by Amazon’.
  4. Go to ‘FBA Product Barcode Preference’.
  5. Click the ‘Edit’ button.
  6. Change setting to ‘Amazon barcode’
  7. Click ‘Update’
