Amazon UK is not letting me sell a product for which I have the brand approval for it. It says restricted when I try to list the product

Hi,

My account is new and its my first listing.

Also my inventory is already in the warehouse!

Most likely because your account is new you’ll have limited selling privileges. Even though you have brand approval, Amazon may not want you to sell it on their platform until you have built credibility on your account. Sorry but you need to build some sales history first.

Unfortunately, it’s not unusual for Amazon to allow you to list a product initially and then restrict it after a “deeper review.” This happens all the time as we approach Q4 because they’re really cracking down on brand and product approvals, especially for new accounts.

You may need to remove your inventory to avoid storage fees and consider returning it or selling it on other platforms.

Check if the product falls under a restricted category or requires additional approvals, such as safety documentation. Contact Seller Support urgently to resolve the restriction before inventory incurs fees.

The alternative is to just move on, Amazon restricts inventory over time, even if you initially were allowed to sell it.

Exactly as it says, Amazon is not accepting it, there’s nothing you can do.

I faced similar issues last year. I was stuck because the Amazon team was not able to find the core reason. Later, I found out that Amazon was asking for an SDS file for an ASIN, and I deleted it without providing the file. At that time, the deleted ASIN vanished from my account health page but rest all the other ASINs got gated due to deleting that one ASIN.
