Amazon seller business imdemnity insurance

Received an alrming email today regards to amazon now auto paying out on customer indemnity claims. I dont really see this as a risk however for peace of mind I sought to renew my previous indemnity business insurance with direct line however it had expired and they now for some unaccountable reason wont re-quote.

So can anyone UK based recommend a good provider?

Doesn’t Amazon UK offer an accelerator in the same way as in the US?

In the US, Amazon offered sellers pre-negotiated choices. Are you seeing any when you go to ā€œAccount infoā€ and ā€œBusiness Liability Insuranceā€?

You received an alarming email about Amazon’s new policy on auto-paying customer indemnity claims. To ensure peace of mind, you tried to renew your expired business insurance with Direct Line, but they refused to re-quote. I provided a list of 8 UK-based insurance providers that offer business indemnity insurance, including Hiscox, AXA, Zurich, Aviva, Markel Direct, QBE, RSA, and Travelers. Consider factors like industry expertise, policy flexibility, and coverage limits when selecting a new provider. You may also want to consult a business insurance broker or advisor for personalized guidance.

Gah! Who let ChatGPT in?

No Kika I don’t see that in amz uk

There are at least 3 current posters that use ChatGPT exclusively in their responses. It really grinds my gears.

AI can be really good (and really bad) but if I wanted AI answers, I’d get them myself.

I want real-life posts and opinions from real sellers. But maybe it’s just me.

It seems like some people’s primary language isn’t English, so they are using AI to reformat and improve their texts

When I was starting to post on the forums in 2015, I used to translate most of my posts through Google translator.

I just checked, you are right, Amazon doesn’t offer anything similar in Europe.

It is really strange that they would implement a policy from the US without any arrangements.

But I don’t think you should be worrying about this, it will take a lot of time for Amazon to implement this and before they do, they will have to come up with solutions, just like they did in the US.

Actually, I just got touch with an insurance provider which covers the UK and they offered me a discounted plan available to members of our forum who sign up through them, so I will get back to you soon.

That is a kind explanation however I checked (chatgpt) and they’ve simply asked chatgpt for a good response to ā€˜this’ forum question. I’m assuming it’s to appear as a good helpful contributor on the forum, to what end I’m not entirely sure, probably to eventually sell something. I’m a sceptic huh!

Otherwise, thanks Kika look forward to further insurance provider updates.

I got mine from Simply Business as my case is more tricky. But they add Amazon as an additional site so it’s a bonus.

Over the past month, I have researched the topic of insurance and found PolicyBee. They are specifically providing services to Amazon Sellers.

I created an affiliate link with then, which gives you £20 if you sign up after clicking on the link:
