Amazon requesting identity verification for my VA account manager

An account manager has been managing my Amazon account for the past two years, and I’ve been getting excellent results from her work. I really don’t want to discontinue working with her because she has been doing a great job.

However, Amazon recently requested her documents, such as her passport and address, for verification purposes, possibly due to an issue in my Canadian marketplace. I provided all the requested documents to Amazon, and they later asked for an authorization letter as well, which I have also submitted.

But so far, I haven’t received any response from them.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? And is there anything else I can do in this situation?

This situation is unfortunately becoming more common, especially where Amazon tightens KYC and related-party verification across marketplaces like Canada, and long response times are typical once personal documents and authorization letters are submitted, so the lack of feedback alone does not mean rejection.

If you have already provided the passport, proof of address, and a signed authorization letter clearly stating her role, scope of access, and that she is not a beneficial owner, then there is usually nothing further you can proactively submit unless Amazon requests it.

The best practical steps are to open a Seller Support case under Account Health or Verification requesting a status update, ensure the authorization letter explicitly matches Amazon’s wording requirements, and confirm that her access is limited to user permissions rather than being listed as a legal representative or owner.

Many sellers report waiting several weeks before receiving either confirmation or additional questions, particularly when the trigger originates from a specific marketplace review rather than the main account, so patience combined with periodic follow-ups is typically the only realistic approach at this stage.
