Amazon Request Approval Invoice Contains Different Name

Hello,

I purchased my first set of products to sell on Amazon for online arbitrage. I also need to submit the invoice since I’m gated in this product category. But I made the mistake of buying them using an account with the name I go by, instead of my legal name. So the invoice shows a different name than the one registered on my Amazon seller account.

I’m worried this might cause issues with getting approved to sell. I already contacted the retailer’s customer service, but they said they can’t change the name on the invoice.

Is there any solution for this? Thank you.

Return them and start over or sell them on a different platform.

It will. You have little chance of Amazon approving it.

Sorry, I don’t have a solution for you.

When there is a will there is a way. I can certainly help you

Yes, having a different name on the invoice than what’s on your Amazon seller account can cause issues when submitting it for ungating, since Amazon requires the invoice to match your registered business or legal name exactly. Unfortunately, if the retailer won’t reissue the invoice with the correct name, there’s a high chance Amazon will reject it. In this case, your best option is to either try purchasing again using the correct billing information linked to your seller account, or use a different supplier who allows you to input your business name at checkout and provides Amazon-compliant invoices. If the order value was high and you really want to try using that invoice, you can still submit it with a clear explanation in the comments section, but approval is not guaranteed. Going forward, always make purchases using your Amazon-registered name and address to avoid these issues.
