Amazon FBA shipping plan

Hey, guys!

I am a new Amazon seller. I wanted to make sure I am creating the plan correctly, so I watched a bunch of videos on YouTube. However, to my surprise, when I reached step 2, I saw that Amazon has introduced a new feature that provides quotes for sending goods from China. None of those videos, some from a couple of months back, have any information about this.

I am not sure how competitive the quotes are, as I was hoping to create a plan to get some quotes. However, Amazon quotes only include transport and do not include the customer clearance cost. When I choose a non-preferred partner, I do not get any amount similar to what some of the videos show, where there are labels for UPS or others. So, I am a tad bit confused about this new approach.

I am looking for feedback if anyone has used this new interface. Or am I missing anything or should have done something differently? I can reach out to Amazon seller support, but my experience is that this group can explain things easier and in simpler English than the Amazon support team.

Thanks!

The new Amazon shipping feature provides quotes for transport from China, but doesn’t include customer clearance costs. When choosing non-preferred partners, you might not see labels for UPS or others as in older videos. It’s recommended to seek feedback from others who’ve used this interface or contact Amazon seller support for clarification.

Yes, Amazon Logistics will not let you know the customs duty in advance, only when the goods arrive and then deduct it from your bill, the process is not clear.

Create your shipment plan by choosing shipping carrier “other” and hire a freight forwarder on DDP terms.

While shipping from China you don’t need to go with UPS or amazon shipping services.
