I registered in Seller Central last week, and found a product that I want to sell. I am buying in bulk and sending to Amazon for FBA. My researched product has a good amount of keyword search, average price is 35, average sales 300units up and has reviews is below 500.
I think it’s a good product but I am scared to risk the money.
It’s not completely clear here. Are you talking about wholesaling for a product that already has a listing on Amazon or are you saying those numbers are averages for your competition and you’re doing private label?
In either case, you’ve mentioned nothing about profitability.
Sounds like you’ve done your research and the product checks a lot of the right boxes! It’s natural to feel a bit cautious with your first FBA order, but you’re on the right track. Sometimes taking that first step is what helps you learn and grow. Have you looked into any strategies for minimizing risk, like starting with a smaller initial order? That can help ease you in. What’s been the biggest concern for you so far ?
It’s completely normal to feel hesitant before making your first bulk purchase, but if you’ve done thorough research—checking demand, competition, and profitability—you’re on the right track. Since your product has decent keyword search volume, a strong price point, and manageable competition (reviews under 500), it seems promising. To minimize risk, consider starting with a smaller test order to gauge actual demand and ensure there are no unexpected issues like returns or listing restrictions. If the initial batch sells well, you can scale up confidently. Taking calculated risks is part of selling on Amazon, but a smart approach can help mitigate potential losses.
