Hello everyone,
We are seeking advice from experienced sellers regarding a recent notification we received for a “Virtual Identity and Supply Chain Verification” interview.
Our account was recently reinstated after a previous suspension, and shortly after resuming sales, we received this request to verify our “Entire Inventory” via a video interview.
Our Business Model: We operate an FBM model (Dropshipping / Online Arbitrage) with the following workflow:
- We list products using inventory management software.
- When a customer places an order on Amazon Europe, we purchase the item from Amazon.com (US).
- We ship the item to our contracted 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) warehouse.
- The warehouse receives the item, repackages it (removing original pricing/branding), takes photos for proof, and ships it to the final customer with our own invoice.
The Documentation We Have:
- Valid Identity and Company Registration documents.
- 3PL Warehouse Contract: A formal agreement with our logistics partner.
- Warehouse Invoices: Proof of payment to the warehouse for handling and shipping each order.
- Software Contract: Agreement with the inventory management tool.
- Source Invoices: We have the Amazon.com Order Receipts/Invoices corresponding to each customer order.
Our Main Concern: The email requests “Invoices, receipts, contracts… from your supplier” and “Authorization letters.” Since we source from Amazon.com (Retail) on an order-by-order basis, we do not have traditional B2B wholesale invoices or direct Letters of Authorization (LOA) from the brands.
Questions for the Community:
- Has anyone successfully passed this specific “Supply Chain Verification” interview using Amazon.com retail receipts as the primary proof of purchase?
- Given that we do not hold stock but use a verified 3PL workflow, how should we best present our case to the interviewer?
- Are there specific documents we should emphasize to prove the authenticity of the products, considering the source is Amazon itself?
We want to be fully transparent during the interview and would appreciate any guidance on how to navigate this with our current business model.
Thank you.
