Account verification in the United States

Hi,

when opening a new seller account in the U.S., the new seller will need to go through verification.

Do they need to verify just their business address, or also their personal address?

Thank you in advance.

I think it will always be the case that there is a high chance Amazon will ask for a personal address and verify sending docs.

For professional accounts: “Business address”

For individuals: “Personal”

Thank you both for your comments.

Do you know if Amazon will verify the personal address of the company director at any time?

Amazon’s policy updates often cause this, like the VAT issue in the UK that led to 70-80% re-verification.

So, during a re-verification Amazon will verify the UK personal address of the director. Is that right?

Yes. Verification methods may vary, like video calls or address checks, depending on the circumstances.

Hello. I am also starting to register an Amazon account with my LLC information but Amazon has rejected me 5 times because they cannot verify my identity. I think all the information I provided is correct. Can I ask you about your experience registering an account? I registered an account as an LLC but during the registration process I only saw Amazon asking to fill in LLC information but I did not see Amz asking to provide any documents related to the LLC. When it came to verifying my identity, Amz only asked me to update my personal identification and bank statements and I provided Amz with those documents, they were all correct and valid. Thank you
