Account linked to former director

Hello, everyone!

After three years of selling on Amazon, my account was recently deactivated. Amazon linked my account to a friend’s account because he was once a director in my company, though he resigned over three years ago. Despite explaining to Amazon that I have no connection to his account, they still rejected my appeal. Has anyone else experienced something similar with Amazon? If so, what steps did you take to successfully reactivate your account?

Thank you!

If you know the second account, you need to identify the reasons why your account was linked to it. This could be due to the same IP address, shared credit card information, or another factor. After discovering the root cause of the issue, draft a detailed plan of action, clearly stating the root cause and focusing on the facts that led to the account suspension. Outline how you will avoid similar situations in the future and how your account will comply with Amazon’s policies. Your account should be reinstated after following this process—this same scenario was reinstated recently.

In this case you have to provide evidence that shows you are the sole owner and the other person is not with you and has no connection. Write a detailed POA, in a polite and professional way.

If you can get a letter from your friend that would help.

Amazon is silly with linked accounts but if you actually know the person try to coordinate ate with them.

My assumption is your friends account got suspended. And that’s when they linked your account?
