Account deactivated due to inactivity

Hi guys,

I sadly just faced an email saying that my account has been deactivated due to an extended period of inactivity and that they needed to verify my identity so I can get it reactivated.

However, when I enter the Business Information → Legal Entity, there is a form where I can fill in my personal data (name, birth date, residential address, proof of identity and address, etc) and another section entitled “Review your country of establishment and business type” with a button “Update now”.

Should I update the country of establishment and business type or should I simply proceed by clicking on “Submit for verification”?

Has anyone ever experienced this situation or maybe know how to cope with that?

This usually happens when Amazon flags an account for inactivity and requires full identity re-verification.

If your country of establishment and business type are already correct, don’t change them, updating those fields can trigger extra reviews or create mismatched information issues. Instead, leave that section as-is and click “Submit for verification” with your ID and address documents.

Amazon mainly wants to confirm you’re the same verified owner. If something truly needs correcting, update it first, then submit.

I almost gave up on my account because my Amazon account wouldn’t get activated.
