2025 updates to Mexico selling fees

Announcement reposted from Amazon Mexico:

As we reflect on 2024 and look ahead to 2025, we want to start by thanking you for your partnership and the tremendous innovation and customer benefit that we have delivered together. In addition to many innovations in the customer shopping experience, we launched lower fulfillment fees for all low-priced products. Our partnership over the last year was key to driving record-breaking sales for independent sellers in Amazon’s store, with even more sellers growing their sales year-over-year.

While inflation continues to impact our expenses, we have continued to make significant progress in lowering our costs to serve by driving innovation, improving efficiency, and removing defects. As a result, we will reduce FBA fulfillment fees and your costs to send in inventory through our Partnered Carrier Program.

Summary of 2025 fee changes:

  • FBA fulfillment fees will decrease by an average of 16.1% for a new tier of products priced between MXN 299 and MXN 499, effective March 4, 2025.
  • Partnered Carrier Program rates decreased by an average of 84%, effective January 22, 2025.
  • The Flexible Customer Financing fee will increase from its promotional rate of 1.0% to 3.0%, effective February 17, 2025.
  • Seller Flex fees will decrease by an average of 18%, effective February 4, 2025.
  • Removal and disposal fees will increase by an average 30% to better align fees with our operational costs, effective March 4, 2025.
  • We will split monthly storage fees into two tiers, standard and oversize, to better align fees with the real storage cost of different sized items, effective May 1, 2025. Non-peak monthly storage fees will increase from MXN 0.31 to MXN 0.36/dm3 for standard-sized items, and decrease from MXN 0.31 to MXN 0.19/dm3 for oversize items. Peak monthly storage fees for standard-sized items will remain unchanged at MXN 0.53, and decrease for oversize items from MXN 0.53 to MXN 0.43/dm3.
  • We will introduce an aged inventory surcharge tier for inventory aged 6 to 9 months, and increase fees in the 9-to-12-month tier by an average of 32%, effective May 15, 2025. For both tiers, rates will be differentiated by monthly increments so that costs increase for inventory that remains in fulfillment centers longer.
  • The Customer Service by Amazon fee will decrease from MXN 30.50 to MXN 7.40 per unit for products shipped in Mexico, effective February 4, 2025. The fee for units shipped from outside of Mexico to Mexico will remain unchanged.
