Why do sellers lower the price when they only have one unit in stock for an extended period and then raise the price once they restock?

I often notice this pattern with Keepa offers.

If they’re lowering the price, why don’t they sell out sooner? It seems like it would make more sense for them to increase the price instead, to prevent further sales and remain on the listing if that’s their goal.

What is the actual reason? If anyone can explain, it would greatly help clear my confusion.
