Photos won't update

What is the main reasons for this happening? A few of our asins images refuse to allow me to replace them, some are children variations some parent with no variations. Have waited 24 hrs. Any hack to make it work?

Are you the listing creator? Do you have the Amazon Brand Registry?

In case that you don’t have the listing control, you may never see the content which you submitted being added into the listing. This is due to not having the listing control.

If you don’t have the listing control, the only way how to make Amazon accept your changes is to open a case with the Seller Support under “Products and Inventory” - “Product page issue” and “Fix a product page”.

You will be asked to provide some proof supporting your desired updates, such as a link to the manufacturer’s website.

The listing control is awarded to sellers by Amazon based on their own internal criteria, which include performance history, returns rate, metrics or seller feedback, for example.

Even you creating a listing doesn’t mean that you will be the one with listing control.

In most cases, if you don’t see it being updated within a few hours, then it indicates Amazon did not consider your updates to be relevant and you will need to request any changes by a different way.

Yes creator, yes have the brand registry. Thanks @Kika looks like a likely cause that for whatever reason I’ve lost listing control

You may regain the listing control at some point in the future. Sometimes, you will be able to update images but not the title or description. On other occasions, you will be able to change the title and description, but not the images.

The best way how you can arrange that your desired updates go through is by opening a Seller Support case and requesting this. They will ask you to provide some evidence, which can be difficult, such as a link to the manufacturer’s website demonstrating whatever you wanted to update.

The strange thing is, it doesnt give any errors or ‘you cannot update this’ type messages. I contacted support who came back with "good news, your updates to the title/description are now live’ (no, they’re not!)

I read that “deleting” a listing for 24 hours works in such cases. But I dont really undertand this as deleting will surely remove rank, reviews etc wont it? Or can I relist under the same asin/sku and it will restore (I did read certain values are stored with the asin even when deleted from my inventory). Or do they just mean “closing” the listing?

There will never be any error messages. The updates just won’t display on the listing, although they will be saved in the product editing interface.
