Where did you start? Did FBA allow you financial independence? How many hours you work per week?
I’m still deciding on whether this was a good idea, I know, starting is the hardest part, trying to get past this mental barrier. But I feel guideless in a certain sense and without a mentor.
Which resources did you follow when you started, how much did you invest?
Start with the Seller University

I was a pioneer on the FBA platform. In five years our business grew by 920%. It put us in the top 10% of Amazon sellers. I bought a brand new Ford F150 Texas Edition truck because I could make the payment with one days sales.
Is there a financial reward to the program, I’d say so. We also worked long hours.
As @RuthDade said, start with Seller University. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a complex process. Without knowing what you are doing, things could go down hill very fast.
