I need guidance regarding an issue

Hello,

We chose Amazon’s carrier service in the shipment plan and set December 30 as the ship date. We’re waiting for Amazon to pick up the goods, but we haven’t received any call or update from them. Are we supposed to send the inventory to Amazon’s carrier ourselves? I’m unsure why Amazon hasn’t come to pick up the goods.

If you’ve used Amazon’s carrier service during a shipment plan before, please advise.

Thank you!

I can only speak for UK so if you are not in the UK, this may not apply to you.

It’s a common misunderstanding for a first shipment that when creating the shipment and choosing UPS as the carrier, the expectation is that selecting a pick-up date means the collection will be arranged for you.

Reality is that you have to arrange collection yourself as a separate step.

The easiest way is to go to the UPS website, create an account and book it there.

Schedule a collection

Just enter ONE of the tracking codes that you were given, no need to add them all. There will be no charge.

As @AmazonUKForumRefugee says, the pickups are not automated, but it’s not a big deal. I believe the ship-from date is intended for inventory planning purposes, so Amazon knows how much stock to expect in their warehouses.
