How did you find product and get past the gating process?

I am struggling getting my store off the ground.

I have a team that has a warehouse that handles all orders and relationships with brands.

When you approach brands directly for approval purpose so there are certain requirements e.g. brick and mortar store and hurdles e.g. not opening any further 3rd party accs. (etc)

So, have you came across such hurdles if you are approaching brands directly and if yes, then how do you overcome these hurdles?
