I’ve gone to pay proforma but the account is under her personal name and I was told this is standard for Polish companies?
Eg. ‘Emily Smith Dettol Products’
She said this is how Polish companies are named, and even sent me Poland version of companies house with company number.
ALSO keep in mind this is a discussion with an established websites official customer support email.
Is this something to trust or is this a scam?
As a Slovakian, I can assure you that in Eastern Europe many people see English as a foreign language and will therefore use attractively sounding foreign terms in their company name.
Let’s say I know of a small sole proprietor who calls his company xxxxx Global Holdings Limited, when it’s just a guy working out of his bedroom and his business is neither “Limited” nor a “Holding”. And it isn’t even a company, he is considered to be “individual”.
