Is it mandatory to have a lawyer for brand registry through USPTO or can I do it myself?

If you are resident of USA then you can apply for that by yourself otherwise go for attorney or lawyer to apply for TM and brand registration.

You can do it yourself if you have complete knowledge about the process. If it is new to you then you can take assistance from the lawyer.
