Do you know if we have to issue and upload invoices for Amazon UAE?

Hello,

A new Amazon.ae marketplace has recently opened and I was automatically enrolled. It’s ok for us.
Fortunately, I had 1 sale but the bad part is that Amazon doesn’t issue invoices and upload them for us like it does for other Amazon marketplaces.

Do you know if we have to issue and upload invoices for Amazon UAE?

Doesn’t Amazon upload and issue them automatically for UAE too?

Thank you

On Amazon.ae Amazon’s VAT Calculation Service is not available, so the marketplace does not automatically create or upload tax invoices on your behalf; under UAE tax regulations the seller is the taxable person, which means you are responsible for issuing a compliant 5 % VAT invoice (showing your TRN, buyer details, price, VAT amount, etc.) and either uploading it through the “Manage Orders” page or emailing it to the buyer when requested, so if you continue selling there you’ll need to generate those invoices yourself or use third‑party software that integrates with Seller Central to handle the upload.

If you are wondering why, UAE has a 0% income tax, so this makes sense. It is not common for sellers to collect invoices. I suggest you to register a virtual company in UAE for the purpose of traging on the market, if you are planning any meaningful business over there.

No, Amazon does not automatically issue or upload invoices for sellers on Amazon.ae. Unlike some European marketplaces where Amazon provides VAT invoices for VCS-enrolled sellers, Amazon UAE places the responsibility on the seller.

You should Generate a proper VAT invoice for each sale.

Include your TRN (Tax Registration Number), buyer info, item description, tax amount, etc.

Upload the invoice manually through the Amazon Seller Central order page.

How can I deactivate amaon.ae? Is it enough to delete the listings?

I saw that some of my products are also sold by other sellers or even by amazon. ( we are in private label )
If I delete my listings from my account, will these sellers still sell them or Amazon ?

Thank you

As others say, in the UAE there are no income taxes, so I would expect there to be no automated invoice creation. Unless you anticipate a significant volume of sales, you can handle everything manually and provide the details of sales to your accountant.

You can register a business license in UAE if you want.

Regarding the other sellers, there are lots of dropshippers in UAE, where online freelancing is a popular business model. Unless you have a trademark in the UAE for the brand of products, which are being sold, you will not get them removed off the listings.

Were you enrolled into the UAE site through Amazon Europe or US?

Hello,

We are enrolled into UAE trough Amazon Europe.

I have deleted all my listing from our Amazon.ae account because I don’t think I’ll have very good sales there and I can’t do the invoices manually.

I also don’t want to get sales license in the UAE.

I don’t have a trademark in the UAE yet but I’m preparing to get one.

I don’t mind dropshippers, should I?

Thnak you

It’s a wise move to pause your activity on Amazon.ae if you’re not ready to handle VAT invoicing or licensing.

While dropshipping is a great model, Amazon isn’t the best platform for it due to its strict policies, high competition, and limited control over branding and fulfillment. These factors often lead to account issues or poor customer experience if not managed perfectly.

If you’re interested in dropshipping, I strongly recommend considering Shopify instead. It gives you full control over your store, branding, and customer experience — without the heavy restrictions Amazon imposes. You can integrate with trusted suppliers and grow your business at your own pace.

Dropshippers are fine, I always accepted them unless they were causing me any problems.

They are basically ordering from you to fulfill all orders they receive, so you are getting extra sales. It becomes a problem once some of them start opening non-receipt disputes or similar, trying to get a refund for their original purchase from you. There are dropshippers who do this or those who only do this if their own buyer opened a dispute and obtained a refund.
